Job summary

Bambuza Hospitality Group at Salt Lake City International Airport is hiring cooks for weekend mid-shifts, starting between 3 pm and 4 pm for 6 to 8 hours. You will prepare authentic Vietnamese dishes and ensure they look and taste great for travelers.

Responsibilities include prepping pho, banh mi, spring rolls, vermicelli bowls; maintaining a clean, safe kitchen; coordinating with staff; following recipes; and assisting with other areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking Vietnamese or Asian dishes.
• Knowledge of traditional cooking methods and ingredients.
• Ability to safely use knives and kitchen tools.
• Able to work in a busy kitchen and stay positive with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Cook a variety of Vietnamese dishes such as pho, banh mi, spring rolls, and vermicelli bowls.
• Wash, cut, marinate, and prepare herbs, vegetables, meat, and seafood following recipes and kitchen rules.
• Use traditional cooking methods (boiling, grilling, steaming) to prepare food quickly and efficiently.
• Follow recipes and portion guidelines to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen in line with health regulations.
• Assist with setting up, cleaning, and storing kitchen equipment.
• Monitor and manage ingredient supplies and notify the kitchen manager when stock is low.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, cashiers, and managers to ensure on-time orders.
• Be willing to learn new dishes or adjust recipes based on customer preferences or seasonal ingredients.
• Help out in other areas if needed.
