Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Test Technician Vibration Lab to support weekend operations in a dedicated vibration laboratory. You will execute vibration tests on electrical and electronic components, configure test setups, monitor shaker performance, and maximize throughput while following detailed engineering procedures.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, 3+ years in testing environments, and the ability to work independently with attention to accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in testing roles (lab, manufacturing, maintenance, technician or engineering support).
• Associate degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, or related field.
• Familiarity with documenting work activities and maintaining test records.

Responsibilities

• Set up and execute vibration tests per procedures and test plans.
• Mount test articles and fixtures on shaker systems following safety procedures.
• Configure and verify vibration profiles before tests commence.
• Monitor active tests and ensure equipment runs properly throughout testing.
• Re-orient components to maximize shaker utilization and throughput.
• Perform pass/fail checks on test components when criteria are defined.
• Coordinate with engineers regarding test status and setup changes.
• Follow documented procedures to prevent damage to articles and equipment.
• Maintain detailed test records and observations.
• Support weekend and off-shift operations for continuous shaker activity.
• Troubleshoot basic setup issues and escalate to engineering when needed.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
