Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for weekend day shifts in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. The role requires performing routine sonographic procedures, ensuring patient prep and image quality for radiologist interpretation, and maintaining EMR/PACS documentation.

ARDMS or equivalent registry is required, with ongoing certifications encouraged. Weekend hours are 7:00am–7:00pm and paid at time and a half under the weekend program.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform independent procedures to Radiologist standards.
• Ability to learn and use Radiology software and PACS applications.
• Must maintain licenses and continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verifies patient identity, exam appropriateness, and collects clinical history.
• Positions patients and equipment to acquire optimal images and data for interpretation.
