Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) to deliver specialty medical care in our community hospital network, stationed at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital in Wisconsin. The role integrates with surgeon teams and supports emergency general surgery and trauma care within an academic, Level 3 trauma center.

This 1.0 FTE, salaried position involves in-hospital and virtual coverage, ongoing program administration, patient safety, quality

Qualifications

• Strong clinical competence in emergency general surgery, trauma and subspecialty surgical areas.
• Ability to assess, diagnose and treat patients in inpatient settings with evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Admit, discharge, manage and consult surgical specialty patients.
• Provide in-person and virtual coverage for specified hospitals.
• Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide 24/7 coverage for community surgery practices and report to APP Manager.
