Precision Castparts in Ogden, UT is seeking a skilled welder to perform welding preparation, welding and finishing per customer drawings and specifications. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to procedures.

You will work a weekend shift from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm Friday to Sunday, totaling 36 hours while receiving pay for 40 hours. The job requires reading blueprints, certifiable welding techniques, and diligence in quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret technical procedures and blueprints.
• Certified or certifiable in assigned welding techniques.
• Knowledge of tig welding techniques and requirements for various steel and aluminum alloys.
• Able to use conventional and precision measuring instruments.

Responsabilités

• Interprets mechanical drawings, including welding requirement symbols.
• Processes inspection, certification, and documentation.
• Performs basic maintenance on welding equipment.
• Identifies defects and discontinuities in metal.
• Chooses the best method to fix metal defects.
• Performs grinding and finishing when needed.
