Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified or certifiable in assigned welding techniques.
• Knowledge of TIG welding techniques and requirements for various steel and aluminum alloys.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications regarding parts.

Responsibilities

• Interprets mechanical drawings, including welding requirement symbols.
• Processes inspection, certification, and documentation.
• Performs basic maintenance on welding equipment.
• Identifies defects and discontinuities in metal.
• Chooses the best method to fix metal defects.
• Performs grinding and finishing when needed.
• Able to read and comprehend English.
