Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital, part of Allegheny Health Network, seeks a registered nurse for the 8C Surgical/Trauma telemetry unit to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. You will perform assessments, care planning, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team from admission through discharge, while educating patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.

Shift is 48 hours every two weeks, with scheduling between 11am Friday and 7am Monday; union presence supports a

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or active multi-state licensure via the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification is required.
• One year of general nursing experience is required.
• One year on the specific unit is preferred.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate is required.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate is required.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for a designated patient population using the nursing process.
• Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Provides safe, age-appropriate care per regulatory requirements.
• Directs and manages patient care delivery with the team and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team.
