Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation is seeking a hands-on, detail oriented, and safety minded Weekend Tankroom Operator to join our Packaging department.

You will maintain accurate process documentation, ensure cook times and temperatures are met, assist in loading product into the retort, perform preventative maintenance, monitor brine, syrup and pH levels, and operate the sugar recovery system, all while following GMP, HACCP and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Internal GMP/HACCP/BRC training requirement.
• Complete work instruction/qualification sheet in allotted time frame.
• Trained in use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Must pass respiratory fitness test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all processes.
• Ensure that the required cook times and temperatures are followed.
• Assist in positioning the product into the retort and removing it when the cooking process is complete.
• Complete all preventative maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain brine and SO2 levels.
• Monitor fruit for bacteria growth.
