Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Buffalo, NY is hiring a Tank Room Operator to maintain silos, milk lines, cream lines, blend lines, whey lines, separators and cream tanks. Weekend work is required, with days off during the week.

The role emphasizes cleanliness, equipment sanitization, and precise operational practices in a dairy production facility. The position supports quality and safety through routine cleaning, routine sampling, and coordination with supervisors to ensure proper pasteurization

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and sanitize silos, milk lines, cream lines, blends and tanks.
• Disassemble and clean samplers, activators and valves.
• Check and replace worn gaskets and o-rings.
• Replace QMI samplers weekly as needed.
• Inspect silos and initial before reassembly; document titrations.
• Empty and wash silos every 72 hours.
• Clean whey separators daily.
• Deliver samples to the lab every two hours.
• Clean all lines at end of day.
• Coordinate silo rotation with supervisor for pasteurization.
