Kapco Inc. in Grafton, Wisconsin, is seeking a Tool & Die Maker for the weekend shift at the Grafton facility. The role involves building new dies, repairing progressives, and maintaining tight tolerances to ensure efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Build new dies and repair existing dies, including progressive dies, jigs and fixtures.
• Maintain extremely tight tolerances to reduce cost and improve speed and quality.
• Lay out and perform bench and machine operations to construct, alter, and repair dies, jigs, fixtures and special tools.
• Perform tool and die maintenance and repair duties.
• Verify that quality and print specifications are met.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities

• Building new and repairing of existing die consisting of progressive dies, jigs and fixtures
• Holds extremely close tolerances, which will reduce the cost and improve the speed and quality of various production operations
• Lays out and performs bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair dies, jigs, fixtures and special tools
• Performs tool and die maintenance and repairman duties
• Verifies quality and print specifications are met
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience:

2-year trade school program or equivalent. Journeyman’s Card. 5+ year’s previous experience in building new metal stamping and progressive dies. Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach and lift material up to 50 lbs.
