Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie in Gallatin, TN, seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain facilities, machines, and equipment in the plant. You will troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems, install conduit and drops, and work with contractors on projects.

Weekend shift: Thursday–Sunday 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM with overtime as needed. Requirements include an associate degree or equivalent and 3 years of maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• An associate degree or equivalent college or technical school is preferred.
• 3 years of experience in maintenance, related field is required.
• Maintenance & Repair: troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems; PLC controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown repair on machinery and facility systems (65%).
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC controls; install conduit and wire drops.
• Machining, fabricating, welding parts for upgrades and process improvements (20%).
• Coordinate with contractors for building and facilities projects (5%).
