Job summary

National Beef is seeking a Weekend Shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team on the plant floor, ensuring safety, food safety, and compliance with OSHA and company standards. This on-site role requires strong leadership and hands-on problem solving.

You will coach and develop staff, coordinate with other departments, optimize preventive maintenance using E-Maintenance, and drive uptime while managing downtime data.

Qualifications

• Ability to identify issues and decide on required actions.
• Competence to plan maintenance schedules.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and delegation skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Competency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Critical-thinking skills.
• PLC and Controls experience.
• Refrigeration experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekend maintenance activities ensuring safety and compliance.
• Coach, train, and evaluate maintenance team members.
• Audit and eliminate unsafe hazards in the plant.
• Ensure adherence to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and policies.
• Collaborate with other departments on maintenance issues.
• Lead or participate in process improvement activities.
• Use E-Maintenance software to track work.
• Use downtime reports to optimize PMs and increase uptime.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of down equipment.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Routinely inspect building and grounds.
• Other duties as assigned.
