Job summary

Nox Metals in Detroit, MI seeks a Factory Shift Lead for the Weekend 2nd Shift to drive safety, quality, and on-time production. You will lead a small team Friday–Sunday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, ensuring seamless handoffs and adherence to plans.

You will operate saws, CNCs, and material handling systems, manage material flow, and record data in our software. A strong safety mindset and ownership mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading weekend manufacturing shifts.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to read cut lists and production schedules.
• Comfortable with manual material handling and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the weekend shift team, set the pace and own the outcome.
• Take a clean handoff from the weekday team and prepare for Monday.
• Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems.
• Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum stock to spec.
• Run forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Follow cut lists and production schedules with precision.
• Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders.
• Package, label, and stage outbound shipments.
• Record cut data and job completions in our software systems.
• Always ask questions and look for process improvements.
• Keep the floor clean, organized, and safe for the next shift.
