Job summary

Nox Metals in Detroit is seeking a Factory Shift Lead for the weekend 2nd shift. You will own the Friday–Sunday 7:00 PM–7:00 AM floor, lead the team, operate CNC and metalworking equipment, and ensure on-time, quality production while maintaining safety and efficient handoffs.

You are a natural leader with a strong safety mindset, capable of using software to track data, and ready to improve processes in a fast-paced metals manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable or experienced in a factory, metals service center, bandsaws, industrial saws, CNC equipment, or skilled trades.
• Natural leader who sets the shift standard and earns followership.
• Committed to safety, follows protocols and wears PPE.
• High attention to quality with every cut, every cert, every shipment.
• Always thinking how to improve processes and avoid “how we’ve always done it”.

Responsibilities

• Lead the weekend shift team, set the pace, own the outcome, execute a clean handoff.
• Take a clean handoff from weekday team and prepare floor for Monday.
• Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems.
• Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to spec.
• Run forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Follow cut lists and production schedules with precision.
• Record data and job completions in software accurately.
• Keep floor clean, organized, and safe; work safely every shift and hold teammates to standard.
