Job summary

WB Manufacturing LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a Production Associate to perform duties in the Production department, focusing on safety and meeting production goals.

Responsibilities include prepping work centers, supporting machine operators, moving materials, completing OTJ paperwork, inspecting for defects, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand long hours, and work in a hot or temperature-controlled environment depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work center to run according to schedule and ensure production goals and standards are met
• Provide support to machine operators and line leads to ensure workflow supports production goals and standards
• Move material within or to/from workstations to meet operational needs
• Successfully scan work orders and complete paperwork as On-the-Job (OTJ) training requires within a reasonable time frame
• Follow proper processes for performing inspections, ensuring accuracy, and allowing for continuous monitoring for defects
• If defects are found, the product must be sent to be reworked
• Ensure any dust, dirt, excess glue, or other substances are removed from the product and prepared for shipment to the customer
• Assist with material handling to provide continuous production at each work center and meet operational needs
• Report problems to area lead or supervisor
• Make recommendations through specified means of communication that support a lean and efficient manufacturing environment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout scheduled shift as well as perform cleaning duties at designated times to contribute to a safe environment
• Contribute to team effort by working as areas directed and performing other duties as assigned and needed

Job description

Other Responsibilities

• Utilize various hand tools.
• Practice and model proper safety rules and procedures. Wear proper PPE equipment as required for the area.
• Report to and be ready to work at the scheduled start time.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

Standing for the working hours of each shift, 10 plus hours daily. Walking in the Production department to different areas of work. Speaking, hearing, seeing. Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention. Use hands for tools. Regularly lift 30-50 lbs. throughout shift. Team-lift as specified by leadership. Bend, twist, and turn regularly.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Indoor working environment, hot in Summer, temperature controlled in Winter. Moving machinery, i.e. forklifts, moveable carts, etc. Uneven ground where cart tracks are identified. Air quality may be dusty and potentially require additional PPE in certain areas. Sound level below 85 decibels except in areas specified as requiring hearing protection.
