Job summary

Johnson Controls Albany Plant is seeking a Class V Maintenance Technician to join our weekend shift team. You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems, including mechanical, electrical (3-phase and single-phase), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

You will install, dismantle, rig, fabricate, weld, and rebuild equipment, read blueprints, and support safety and reliability across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend English including safety/maintenance instructions.
• Forklift certification required to operate a fork truck.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Dismantle defective machines and install parts.
• Install and repair electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and support plant safety.
