Job summary

New Avenues for Youth in Portland, OR is seeking a compassionate Weekend Supervisor to support youth in shelter settings. You will supervise weekend staff, provide guidance, and help youth access resources to lead healthy, independent lives.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth services or related field with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong background in crisis intervention, including de-escalation and emergency procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, access to a vehicle and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support weekend shelter staff, providing training and feedback.
• Model trauma‑informed care, Positive Youth Development, harm reduction, and collaborative problem solving.
• Maintain safe facilities and staff support.
• Document programs and maintain timely records.
