Job summary

New Avenues for Youth in Portland, OR seeks a compassionate Day Services Coordinator for our Drop-In team. The role focuses on engaging youth, coordinating basic needs supports, and linking to housing, case management, and recovery services.

Shift hours include Monday & Tuesday and Friday & Saturday from 10am to 8:30pm. You will build authentic relationships, collaborate across teams, and promote a welcoming, low-barrier space that reflects Positive Youth Development and Trauma-Informed Care

Qualifications

• Experience relating to youth experiencing houselessness preferred.
• Ability to promote a safe, clean, supportive atmosphere within a drop-in setting.
• Comfort with collaborative problem-solving and trauma-informed care principles.

Responsibilities

• Engage youth to access resources and build community connections.
• Coordinate supports with Drop-In team and partners in the Homeless Youth Continuum.
• Promote harm reduction and youth-centered approaches within the center.
