Job summary

Riverside Methodist Hospital seeks a Service Excellence Ambassador to deliver outstanding customer service to patients, families, visitors and physicians. You will gather information, advocate for patients, help resolve concerns and escalate issues as needed, while maintaining confidentiality and a patient-first approach.

In this part-time role, you will greet and guide guests, assist with directions and wheelchairs, answer the multi-line phone, and support information desks to keep lobbies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences or health-related field.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication and medical terminology.
• Experience in a consumer advocacy or service role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors and physicians while maintaining confidentiality.
• Act as patient advocate by investigating concerns and expediting admissions and other delays.
• Resolve problems and escalate issues when necessary.
• Respond to special needs and ensure requests are met; greet and escort visitors as needed.
• Answer multi-line phone calls and transfer callers to appropriate locations.
• Oversee information desks and lobby cleanliness and order.
