Job summary

Ivy Park at Santa Monica, managed by Oakmont Management Group, seeks an energetic Activity Assistant to organize and lead engaging activities for seniors. The role focuses on promoting resident independence and quality of life through creative programs and excursions.

Fridays and Saturdays, part-time, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., with a pay range of $18.50–$20.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, vacation, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license; Class B or Class C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Able to operate a PC and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Background check and health screening tests required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director in providing a creative, rewarding social atmosphere and promote resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork with other departments.
