Job summary

Ivy Park at Monterey is managed by Oakmont Management Group, a premier senior living provider. The Activity Assistant supports organizing and promoting activities to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life within the community.

Responsibilities include assisting with events, recruiting volunteers, and maintaining safety while delivering compassionate service. This position requires 18+ with a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license, and may involve driving community vehicles.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (TB).
• Must be able to operate a PC and be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to drive community vehicles and have a valid license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director in creating a social, engaging atmosphere with planned activities and events.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
