Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for an office building in San Diego, CA. You will provide dependable security services, greet residents and staff, perform security procedures, and respond to incidents as needed.

This role offers weekend anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, and includes paid training and career growth opportunities. A HS diploma and a state or local license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report issues.
• Respond to incidents and resident concerns in a calm, trauma-informed, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access to the location and verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports and shift handoff communications as required.
