Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. West Des Moines, IA is seeking a part-time Security Officer to maintain a safe environment by monitoring access, patrolling, and upholding site regulations. You will interact with employees and visitors and report hazards promptly.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, strong customer service and teamwork skills, and can remain calm under pressure while following post orders and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Above average computer / technology skills needed.
Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
Must have a professional demeanor.
Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
CPR certification.
De-escalation skills needed.

Responsibilities

Monitor premises and manage access control and patrols.
Enforce regulations for client sites.
Identify and report safety hazards or suspicious activity.
Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
Provide customer service and information to employees and guests.
Utilize technology devices throughout shift.

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
Provide customer service and information to theclient’s employees and guests.
Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
Conduct tours of the property.
Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:
