Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. in West Des Moines, IA is seeking an Overnight Security Officer for a full-time, on-site role. You will monitor premises, control access, patrol client sites, and respond to emergencies while delivering professional customer service.

The ideal candidate is 18+, has a HS diploma or GED, strong computer skills, and experience in security, law enforcement, or the military is a plus. CPR certification and a clean driving record are preferred.

• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• CPR certification.
• De-escalation skills needed.
• Clean driving record needed.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Overnight Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: West Des Moines, IA

Wage: $19.00/HR

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
