Job summary

Path of Life Ministries is seeking a part-time Safety Specialist to support the Shelter Program in Riverside. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment, de-escalate conflicts, and assist with shelter operations while focusing on trauma-informed service delivery.

Responsibilities include environment safety, engagement with guests, and accurate logging of activities, incident reports, and supplies, with a weekend-only schedule and $23.00 per hour pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in social services, security, or public-facing roles.
• Experience with diverse populations including homelessness/crisis.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment for guests.
• Provide de-escalation and crisis intervention as needed.
• Document logs, incident reports, and shelter activities accurately.
• Assist with shelter setup, safety checks, and waste management.
• Coordinate with staff on vendor orders and supplies.
