Job summary

NHC HealthCare Oakwood in Lewisburg, TN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Weekend Unit Manager. This full-time leadership role works every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, providing clinical leadership for an assigned unit and supporting nursing partners to ensure high-quality, coordinated care for patients and residents across the weekend.

The role includes opportunities to coach staff, oversee care plans, monitor compliance, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Current RN license in the state where NHC HealthCare Oakwood is located.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or nursing leadership experience preferred.
Ability to work the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight for the assigned unit during the weekend.
Support implementation and monitoring of individualized plans of care.
Review changes in condition and ensure timely clinical follow-up.
Coach and direct nursing staff on the unit.
Monitor documentation, medication, and treatment practices; ensure nursing standards.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams; involve patients and families.
Support staffing, workflow, quality improvement, infection prevention, and survey readiness.
Promote continuity of care and effective weekend communication.
Foster a culture of compassionate care, teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.
