Job summary

NHC HealthCare Oakwood is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Unit Manager RN. This role provides clinical leadership for an assigned nursing unit, supports nursing partners, and helps ensure high-quality, coordinated care for patients and residents.

The Unit Manager leads day-to-day operations, ensures adherence to care plans, mentors staff, and collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to promote compassionate, professional service.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state for Tennessee.
• Prior long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or nursing leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight for the assigned unit.
• Support individualized plans of care and monitor changes in patient condition.
• Coach and direct nursing staff; ensure documentation and treatments meet nursing standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to promote coordinated care.
• Assist with staffing, workflow, and infection prevention; support survey readiness.

NHC HealthCare Oakwood is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Unit Manager RN. This role provides clinical leadership for an assigned nursing unit, supports nursing partners, and helps ensure high-quality, coordinated care for patients and residents.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight for the assigned unit.


• Support the implementation and monitoring of individualized plans of care.


• Review changes in condition and help ensure timely clinical follow-up.


• Coach, support, and provide direction to nursing partners on the unit.


• Monitor documentation, medication and treatment practices, and compliance with nursing standards.


• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, interdisciplinary team members, patients, residents, and families.


• Support staffing, workflow, quality improvement, infection prevention, and survey readiness activities.


• Promote a culture of compassionate care, teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a current multistate/compact license that permits practice in Tennessee.


• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.


• Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or nursing leadership experience is preferred.


• Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Sign-On Bonus
