Job summary

NHC HealthCare Oakwood in Lewisburg, TN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Unit Manager RN. This role provides clinical leadership for an assigned nursing unit, supports nursing partners, and helps ensure high-quality, coordinated care for patients and residents.

Responsibilities include leading day-to-day clinical operations, overseeing care plans, monitoring condition changes, coaching staff, and ensuring documentation and medication practices meet nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Tennessee or a valid compact license that permits practice in TN.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership for the assigned unit.
• Support implementation and monitoring of individualized plans of care.
• Review changes in condition and ensure timely clinical follow-up.
• Coach and direct nursing partners on the unit.
• Monitor documentation, medications and treatment practices, and compliance with nursing standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, interdisciplinary teams, patients, residents and families.
• Support staffing, workflow, quality improvement, infection prevention and survey readiness activities.
• Promote a culture of compassionate care, teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.
