Southwest LTC in Texas is seeking a Weekend RN Supervisor to lead nursing staff during weekend shifts and ensure high-quality resident care.

You will supervise nursing tasks, oversee medication management, implement care plans, provide direct care support when needed, document promptly, participate in shift reports, enforce infection control, and coordinate staffing to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Nursing Staff: Assign and delegate duties based on census and staff availability.
• Oversee Medication Management: Monitor administration and coordinate reorders.
• Implement Care Plans: Ensure plans are followed per policy and physician orders.
• Provide Direct Care Support: Perform and supervise treatments as needed.
• Manage Documentation: Transcribe orders, complete assessments, and maintain records.
• Lead Shift Communication: Participate in shift reports and inform staff of care needs.
• Ensure Compliance: Enforce infection control procedures and safe practices.
• Respond to Staffing Needs: Coordinate weekend coverage.
• Oversee Incidents: Investigate variances and complete incident reports.
• Manage Lab Work: Monitor lab orders and physician follow-up
