Job summary

Onyx Health Consulting seeks a Registered Nurse to supervise nursing staff during weekend tours. The role ensures compliance with professional standards and regulations, directs nursing activities, and maintains high-quality resident care in a Florida facility.

The position is weekend-only, pays $40 per hour with a weekend differential, and reports to the Director of Nursing. A BSN is preferred with an active Florida RN license and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in Florida required.
• Peripheral IV certification required.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in geriatrics and subacute populations.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the daily delivery of nursing care and nursing staff performance.
• Plan and conduct shift staff meetings to identify problems and improve services.
• Identify problems in care delivery and implement corrective action.
• Provide reports to the Director of Nursing as needed.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Conduct investigations of accidents and gather data for reporting.
• Interpret nursing policies to staff, residents, and agencies as required.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and ensure safety and quality of care.
• Develop work assignments and delegate authority to Charge Nurses.
• Perform daily unit rounds and monitor staff performance and patient status.
• Address complaints and follow up with appropriate corrective actions.
• Participate in orientation and training for new staff and in-service programs.
• Participate in quality improvement and infection control activities.
