Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a weekend Nursing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities by Nursing Services staff in our long-term care facility. You will provide direct nursing care and ensure compliance with standards.

Requires RN license, minimum 3 years in long-term care and 2 years supervisory experience; strong communication and computer skills; part-time weekend schedule; background check and Texas Misconduct Registry clearance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least three (3) years of nursing experience in long-term care.
• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.
• RN License (Required) and ability to clear background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day nursing activities on weekends for Nursing Services staff.
• Provide direct nursing care to residents as required.
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations on shift activities.
• Cooperate with other resident services to maintain resident care plans.
• Interpret department policies to staff, residents, visitors, and agencies.

Job DescriptionThe purpose of your job position is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the Nursing Services staff on weekends, and provide direct nursing care to the residents, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADON) to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.Specific RequirementsOversee the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services staff assigned to you, and ensure their performance is aligned in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.Ensure the staff complies with the procedures set forth in the Nursing Services Procedures Manual.Ensure that staff performs the functions outlined in their respective job descriptions.Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required.Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained.Interpret the department’s policies and procedures to the staff assigned to you, residents, visitors, and government agencies as required.Must clear the criminal background check, be in good standing with the Texas Misconduct Registry, and must not appear on the Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) List of Excluded Individuals/Entities.Other duties as assigned.EducationMust possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program.ExperienceAt least three (3) years of nursing experience in long-term care is required.
