Job summary

Mercy Hospital of Buffalo is seeking a weekend nurse to coordinate total patient care and participate in family teaching. You will work with the nursing team to maintain high standards of practice during weekend shifts.

The role requires NYS RN licensure, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and BLS/AHA revalidation. A supervising clinical environment and collaborative teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate nurse beginning practitioner under supervision by a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Must pass New York state licensing boards within four months of hire.
• Registered Nurse must be licensed in New York State.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing currently registered in New York State.
• BLS validation and revalidation per AHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating.
• Provide patient and family teaching.
• Demonstrate leadership by cooperating with ancillary, nursing and other patient team members to maintain professional nursing standards.
