Job summary

The RN coordinates patient care, educates patients and families, and collaborates with the care team to uphold nursing standards. A NY RN license, BLS, ACLS, and ongoing professional development are required.

Qualifications

• RN license must be currently registered in New York State.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients on the unit.
• Provide patient and family teaching and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with ancillary, nursing and other staff to maintain professional standards.
• Assist in directing a small group of employees during night shifts.
