Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing with ADN, Diploma, or BSN.
• Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification or successful completion within 30 days of hire.
• One or more certifications may be required depending on position/unit: ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
