Job summary

Alden Estates of Barrington II is seeking a Weekend RN or LPN to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants. The role ensures adherence to federal, state, local standards, and facility policies to maintain high-quality care.

Responsibilities include planning and directing nursing procedures, documenting care, administering medications per physician orders, and participating in care conferences. CPR certification required within two weeks of employment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
• Current CPR certificate or certification within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Interest/knowledge in care of the aged.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, family, visitors, staff, agencies and public.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; able to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise day-to-day nursing activities by CNAs.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local standards and facility policies.
• Plan and direct nursing procedures to maintain high-quality care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered; chart and document care.
• Attend care plan conferences and communicate changes to physicians and families.
• Perform routine assessments and coordinate with care team.
