Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time position on the Union – Nursing unit. The role entails 36 hours per week with Days and Weekend coverage (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and pay range $38.20 to $57.30 per hour.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with the care team. Strong clinical judgment and safe medication administration per protocols are essential, with EHR documentation mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact and/or single-state license where practice occurs.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment and effective communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
