Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus, located in Columbus, Nebraska, is seeking a Weekend Registered Nurse to join our skilled nursing team. The RN will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and participate in care planning for residents in a post-acute setting.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN or BSN, Nebraska RN license, and strong communication skills. This part-time role offers shared weekend coverage with opportunities to collaborate with physicians, therapists, and CNAs.

Qualifications

• RN must have ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• Nebraska RN license in good standing.
• 2 years in skilled nursing/long-term care preferred, not required.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatment planning, and administering medications.
• Monitor and document patient progress; respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and staff to develop care plans.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team about status and concerns.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records per policy and regulation.
• Mentor LPNs and CNAs to ensure adherence to care protocols.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and resident rights compliance.
• Respond to emergencies with clinical judgment and stabilize as needed.
