Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN weekday shifts (6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM) to care for adolescents at San Marcos Treatment Center.

The RN will perform physical assessments, implement treatment plans, and administer medications per physician orders in a 212-bed residential setting. The role reports to the Director of Nursing, supervises MH Techs and LVNs, ensures patient safety, supports crisis management, and delivers comprehensive

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• One year psychiatric / neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents and / or young adults in a long term hospital or residential setting preferred.
• Current Texas professional Nurse License and current driver license.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assessments and implement treatment plans.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document care.
• Provide health care education for patients and families.
• Supervise Mental Health Techs and LVN staff; ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Support safety, crisis management, and medical management for pediatric and adolescent patients.
