Job summary

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis is seeking an RN to plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will develop individualized care plans in coordination with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team, and communicate changes in clinical status to physicians and supervisors.

The role emphasizes patient safety, education and discharge planning. You must hold a valid RN license, postsecondary nursing education, and BLS certification; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary nursing education required and RN licensure.
• BCLS certification required upon hire; ACLS preferred.
• Six months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and update patient care plans with the team.
• Communicate changes to physicians and staff.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record.
