Job summary

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process. You will develop nursing care plans with patients and families, coordinate with interdisciplinary staff, and contribute to discharge planning and patient education.

The role requires current RN licensure, BCLS, and hospital-based experience in medical/surgical settings. You will work within a team focused on safety, quality, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Six (6) months Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
• RN licensure in state of practice.
• BCLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains nursing care standards and hospital procedures.
• Directs, supervises and evaluates nursing care.
• Assigns tasks based on patient needs and staff capabilities.
• Documents admissions, reassessments, and care plans.
• Communicates patient condition changes to physicians and team.
• Participates in discharge planning and care coordination.
• Assists with examinations, treatments, and procedures as needed.
• Ensures patient safety and reduces risk of errors.
• Provides end-of-shift reports and maintains accurate records.
• Interacts professionally with patients, families, and staff.
