Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team focused on geriatric care. The candidate must be licensed and able to assess and treat independently while delivering patient-centered respiratory care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state where practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and rehab for various conditions.
• Initiate therapies, document and maintain patient records; operate equipment.
• Provide bedside respiratory treatments.
• Deliver quarterly in-services to nursing staff.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures; track, audit and manage caseload.
• Perform related duties as required.
