Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about geriatric care, licensed to practice in New York, and able to evaluate and treat patients independently.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining patient records, operating equipment, providing bedside treatments, and attending IDT meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the practicing state; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Experience with tracheotomy; long-term care setting.
