Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric care team in a skilled nursing setting. Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to rehab patients with various illnesses/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and complete in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.
• Handle patients with tracheostomy and experience in long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and perform tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Perform related duties as required.
