Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team in Florida. The RT will assess and treat geriatric residents, perform bedside therapies, manage oxygen and aerosol treatments, and document patient progress according to facility procedures.

Qualifications include COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory, state licensure as RRT or CRT, and BLS certification. Prior LTC experience and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed in the state of practice as RRT or CRT with BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Performs bedside treatments (oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, airway management).
• Attend applicable IDT meetings and complete daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
