Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for our Skilled Nursing facility. The ideal candidate will assess and treat geriatric residents, administer respiratory therapies, and maintain detailed patient documentation with independence and professional judgment.

Responsibilities include bedside treatments, equipment management, and collaboration with nursing staff. Must hold a COARC-accredited degree and an active RRT/CRT license in Florida, with BLS certification

Qualifications

• Graduate of a COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice with current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments including oxygen, aerosol, PEP, suctioning, chest physiotherapy.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy care and airway management; perform related duties as required.
