Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric-focused team in a skilled nursing facility. The RT must hold a state license (RRT or CRT) and BLS certification, with the ability to evaluate and treat independently and provide functional respiratory activities for residents.

Responsibilities include bedside therapies, documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff; experience with tracheostomy and long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and therapies for residents with a range of respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and provide in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility policies and procedures; manage caseload and audits.
