Job summary

The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic team in a skilled nursing setting. The role focuses on geriatric care, independent evaluation, and treatment with emphasis on respiratory therapies and functional activities to improve residents’ experience.

Responsibilities include assessments, initiating therapies, documentation, in-services, and collaboration with IDT.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Attend in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility policies and maintain caseload tracking.
