Job summary

The Chateau at Brooklyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The role requires licensure in the state, ability to evaluate and treat independently, and a passion for geriatric care.

Responsibilities include assessments, initiating therapies, bedside treatments, and maintaining thorough documentation. Prior experience with tracheostomies and long-term care is preferred. Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the practicing state; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory therapies to rehabilitate patients with various respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and track patient progress.
