Job summary

The Chateau at Brooklyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) for Saturday and Sunday coverage in a Skilled Nursing facility. The candidate must have a state license, be able to evaluate and treat independently, and have a passion for geriatric care to support residents' respiratory needs.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, conducting bedside treatments, and providing quarterly in-services for

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited RT program; licensed RRT or CRT.
• State license to practice and BLS certification.
• Experience in long-term care and geriatric rehab.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheostomy.
• Tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Performs related duties as required.
