Job summary

The Chateau at Brooklyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team in New York. The RT will assess and treat geriatric residents, initiate therapies, maintain records, and operate respiratory equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for patient rehab.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care setting.
• Adhere to facility procedures and protocols; track and manage caseload.
